Getting Ready for Game Jam 2018: Georgia Event Location Details
Ashley Stapleton, Game Writer
January 26 kicks off the 2018 Global Game Jam, an event where game devs across the world form teams and make a game within forty-eight hours. All are welcome to participate, from programmers to artists to those who simply want to try their hand at making a game. The only requirement is that you come fresh—you’ll group up and learn the theme on site when the event begins. Until then, you’re encouraged to arrive with nothing more than a song in your heart (though you are always welcome to bring computers loaded with all the tools you need). It’s a bold undertaking that has continued to inspire and support devs from all backgrounds.
Georgia will be hosting five separate event sites to accommodate this year’s Jammers: Kennesaw State University, SCAD-Atlanta, Georgia Tech, Georgia State University, and SCAD-Savannah. Each has provided some basic information to give participants an idea of what to expect.
