We are delighted to announce the Southern Interactive Entertainment and Game Expo’s Game Research Conference (SIEGE2020R). SIEGE is a three-day professional game development conference, now in its fourteenth year. Focused on both professional game developers and people breaking into the industry, this event offers sessions in game art, audio, design, programming and business.
In response to requests from both our professional and academic attendees, the SIEGE Game Research Conference focuses on presenting the best research impacting the game industry. The SIEGE Game Research Conference is a one-day interdisciplinary conference for designers, developers, producers, educators, researchers, and media across various fields related to game design and production. It happens in conjunction with SIEGE, and researchers are invited to attend those sessions as well.
This inaugural event will be hosted by Kennesaw State University at the KSU Center in Atlanta in October 2020. All researcher conference participants are also welcome to attend the main SIEGE conference in 2020.

Game industry analysis (synopsis up to 4 pages).
Each paper submission will undergo a double-blind review process conducted by esteemed professionals, researchers, and academics. Late-Breaking Research (Poster) submissions will undergo a single-blind review process. Accepted authors grant the Georgia Game Developers Association permission to publish papers and posters in the conference proceedings. Papers and poster submissions are to be submitted through the SIEGE Research Conference website at https://ggda.org/research-submission/ . Submissions should be full academic papers (up to 8 pages long, written using APA citation style) focusing on results from novel research. Submissions following the guides at https://www.acm.org/publications/authors/submissions (for Word, PDF, and LaTeX samples) are appreciated.
Late-Breaking Research / Poster Presentations
We invite scholars to submit research that is relatively complete, but depends on further data analysis prior to conclusion. These research submissions will need to be scientific and well written. Submissions will be reviewed based on their relevance to the conference, clarity of writing and presentation, and their "in-progress" nature. Late-breaking research will be presented in poster format (24x36).

We invite researchers to submit reports and analyses regarding the game industry, economic impact, sales, and trends. We aim to provide a forum for presenting, sharing, and discussing interesting data collection, analysis and reporting. Submit extended abstracts (up to 4 pages) of game industry research, which will undergo a single-blind review process.
