SIEGE Unveils Dynamic 2015 Conference Program
The Southern Interactive Entertainment and Game Expo unveils its 2015 program; ninth-year industry trade event is largest and most expansive ever.
ATLANTA (September 30, 2015) — The Southern Interactive Entertainment and Game Expo (SIEGE) program released today showcases more than 100 speakers on sessions covering all aspects of modern game development. Scheduled for Oct. 9 - 11, 2015, at the Marriott NW Atlanta hotel, SIEGE focuses on the rapidly-growing game development industry in the southern United States and its global influence.
“This year we really focused on the essentials of game development and digital entertainment,” said Andrew Greenberg, the SIEGE conference director. “We increased the number of hands-on workshops, added sessions on the hottest new areas like virtual reality and streaming, and provided even more opportunities for all our attendees to share information and insights.”
Highlights include a returning International Game Developers Association track on industry leadership, a re-imagined and re-focused IndieCluster that shows off the best indie game in the South, training and education workshops that cover starting a game studio to starting a game (and everything in between), as well as in-depth looks at game art, programming and design.
This year’s keynote presentations include an innovative look at games from award-winning game designer Warren Spector (creator of the Deus Ex series) and an examination of ways to find a fulfilling life producing games from renowned designer and industry commentator Erin Hoffman. The whole program is now available at the event website: http://www.siegecon.net.
Taking place in Atlanta, GA, the Southern Interactive Entertainment & Game Expo [SIEGE] stands as the center of gravity for networking and knowledge exchange among video game industry professionals and students in the south-eastern United States. Since 2007, SIEGE features leading figures from across the industry and has hosted panels reflecting the wide spectrum of the game production industry including artists, programmers, designers, investors, writers, teachers and business executives. The event also showcases a College Fair for high school students, a leadership track hosted by the International Game Developers Association and an Investment Conference; including a legislative roundtable and investors panel to pitch new projects.
